The "Home" Stretch!

We have moved to the JAARS Center in Waxhaw, NC. JAARS is a vital Wycliffe USA affiliate providing support for Bible translation in virtually every way imaginable. We have stayed here three times before for training, including our International Media Service training and certification.
Why did we move to JAARS? We believe it is where God wants us to be based while we pray for and seek the remaining partners whom He has chosen to join in our Wycliffe ministry. By His grace we hope our next move will be to Guatemala!
It is very "stretching" to not have a "home" of our own in the conventional sense. We sold our home and gave away most of our possessions over a year ago. But we know that for all who believe, our home is now and forever with and in Christ!
Yes, that is one overloaded trailer, car and roof rack. Even what we have now needs to be reduced!
We selected that car with the intention of taking it to Guatemala as it should be reliable and able to handle the very harsh roads. It is advisable to bring a car from the US if you will need one.

"Home" has many connotations. One of them for us is to be "home" in Guatemala. Please pray with us for trust in God. He has proven His faithfulness to us time and time again. He has brought us immeasurably far in the last two years. We have just over six months to go before the final deadline for raising our Wycliffe partnership team and it is easy to let the enemy tempt us to fear. But the very Word of God we are called to share encourages us!
"Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will do it." Psalm 37:5
"7 But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith," Philippians 3:7-9
"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;" Philippians 3:20

Would you grant us the privilege of meeting with you?
We hope you will join us as a critical partner. Prayer is THE fuel of missions. To enable us to reach our assignment in Guatemala it will take prayer warriors and regular financial partners.
Please "sign-up" for a meeting! We can talk with you any way that works. We have found that video calls (skype, zoom, facebook, hangouts) work very well and don't take a lot of people's time. If you are interested we will come see you!
