I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. (Psalms 9:1 NASB)
3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; 4 What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him? (Psalms 8:3-4 NASB)
I will give thanks to the Lord according to His righteousness And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High. (Psalms 7:17 NASB)
What is the door? It is our own hearts. We close the door when we are not grateful, thankful or worshipful to the only one worthy of it. When the door is shut, we are spiritually poor and naked, believing we are spiritually "rich and have need of nothing".
18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. (Revelation 3:18-20 NASB)
This was written to the church at Laodicia, of whom the Spirit says, "...because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth." (vs. 16).
But our merciful God says, "he who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches". God begs us to be zealous, repent, and open the door. He himself is literally knocking, offering spiritual gold, a feast with the King to us, His church. God help us to Listen, and open the door.
