Is it like the ebbing waves on the shoreline?

Is it like a battle in a war?

It is not random or unknown. It is the power of God!

As with many things, moving on with God's plan seems to require a paradoxical retreat before we can advance.  We spent the last week alone in the mountains of Tennessee to seek God.  To pray, to listen to Him.  This was our personal retreat.  Just Marcia and me.  No cell phone service.  No internet.  It was relaxation, contemplation, challenges, praise, prayer, quiet and conversation.  It was almost timeless.

We retreated.  What is the result (so far)?

Advance!  God has not taken away our call.  God has not changed His mind.  God's word still applies to all of us.  To sum up our time, God wants us to keep moving forward, trusting Him for just the next step, and much more.

Thank you to those of you who prayed for our time away.  God heard your prayers and we are immensely grateful for you.
