Prayer and Encouragement

We have completed our latest Partnership Trek and are headed "home" to JAARS. We love to meet with brothers and sisters! One of the most special reasons is that we get to pray, share, and hear how God has been at work in so many. God has been very present, and we could not be more encouraged or humbled than to be prayed for by faithful friends, both old and new.
God has made His word known to us all because He does not want us to forget. I must confess, I am forgetful. I must also bear witness, God is faithful, merciful, and patient!!
Some thoughts and the Scriptures that prompted them
God Himself gives us strength to joyfully honor Him with our lives, bearing fruit to His glory. (Col. 1:9-14)
People who partner with our Wycliffe ministry are not only demonstrating faith in God to provide for them as they give and pray, but also faith in God to work through us to His glory! Both their hearts and their treasure is in heaven. What a humbling example they are to us. (Matthew 6:20-21)
(From a recent worship service we attended)
I will make choices based on what I love. Will I choose self or God?
Love God's Word. Right thinking leads to right living.
What is our purpose in life? What do I love most in life?
There can be fear when we make a choice for God. Fear is impatient. Faith is patient.
(2 Timothy 3:1 and 10-17)
And now a prayer for anyone who has read this far and those who have not:
Father, Lord, Creator, Lover of our souls, You are mercy, love, truth, forgiveness, wisdom... You define infinity as you define all things. Poor out your spirit upon those who simply and humbly ask for You because they know they can do no good apart from You. We were made for, and need to, worship. You are all we need. Impart yourself to your children and make us like you more each moment. For your glory alone, amen.
