Adam has been on the road a lot lately. Sometimes, when he has been gone for several hours, he will stop at a restaurant on his way home to get a quick meal. He often tells me about the guy he was sitting next to, what they talked about and how he shared Christ with them.
You see, Adam cares about people.
He engages them in conversation, draws them out, and shares his faith with them.
Recently, I got to experience Adam in action. We got some supper while we were on the road. He began conversing with a young man sitting near him. It soon became apparent that the man had become disillusioned with established Christianity. Adam offered him real hope in relationship with Christ.
I was fascinated.
You see, I am an introvert. Meeting and engaging new people in conversation are always challenges for me. I find it awkward and uncomfortable.
But the truth is that it's hard for Adam, too. He's also an introvert.
He just loves people.
And he loves God.
And he wants people to experience the love of God.
So he's stepping out. Out of his comfort zone and into a world that needs a Savior. Adam has always said, "Life is about relationships." And he finds real joy in telling others about the one relationship that matters most.
Relationship with the Savior.
