"God Still Loves Us." Do they know that?

Long ago, in my first job out of college I worked at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY. One of my closest friends there used to greet me each morning with, "What's the good word?" The first few times he said it I would silently pray for courage and say, "God Loves Us!" After a while it was easy. He told me that he used to work with someone else who said it differently, "God STILL loves us!"

But what about the millions in Guatemala and around the world who have never heard or understood the Gospel? Millions still don't know who Jesus is, and certainly not that He loves us unconditionally - every day.

Marcia and I want nothing more than the opportunity to tell them. By God's design He has been preparing us to do just that our whole lives.

Progress

The last few weeks have been amazing!

1. We are only $1,004 from our Wycliffe Ministry Budget requirement!

2. We have a limited time opportunity! (glass half full) If our recurring monthly financial partnership is at 100% by about mid-December we can save $254 / month by avoiding a ministry budget increase!

3. To avoid the $254 monthly increase, our budget must be 100% AND be released to our assignment by December 31st. We are asking God to complete our monthly Financial Partner team in time to complete the release process and avoid the increase! That is just over 2 months away.

4. Our final deadline is January 31st. If we are not at 100% by December 31st our budget will go up $254 / month and we will only have one month left to get to 100%. If not, we must resign from Wycliffe.

If we are looking at ourselves instead of at our amazing God we can get anxious. But, this has always been God's doing, through miracle after miracle. His hand has been on everything leading up to this point and He won't stop now.

We're Getting Ready!

We are ramping up our preparations to go!

1. We just put a deposit on an apartment in Panajachel, Guatemala, starting January 1st!

2. We have contacted our language school in Panajachel and are all set to start full-time study shortly after we arrive.

3. Very soon we will need to buy plane tickets to Guatemala to get a good price around the Holidays.

4. We are beginning the process of getting all of our Guatemalan paperwork in progress.
