Face to Face, Heart to Heart

I think most people would agree that the best way to really communicate on a heart level is face to face. We often do this at special events, like birthday gatherings, Christmas, or just to spend time with someone we care about. This is God's idea. He is the relational, missionary God. He sent His own Son to us all, to walk this earth with us and share in our humanity.

In Exodus 33:11 we read,

"Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend".

When Christ came to us, took our punishment and bore our sin, he destroyed the power of sin and restored all who will believe in Him for salvation to that same fellowship with God.

Jesus said,

"Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends."

(John 15:13)

Paul says,

"6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. 7 For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me."

(Philippians 1:7)

Now we have not been imprisoned like the great apostle Paul, but much as he yearned to see and spend time with his fellow believers and partners in the ministry of the Gospel, we are very excited to be heading out to visit with as many of you as we can over the next month!

We will be leaving this Friday, the 14th of June from our housing here on the JAARS Campus in Waxhaw, NC and heading north! If you are interested in a visit let us know as soon as you can! :-). We also hope to see those of you who don't live in the north on a future trip.

- Corning, NY

- Higgins, NY

- Rochester, NY

Please pray for this trip. Very simply, we want God to be glorified and to accomplish His will in and through us.
